Eye care in West Sahara
The foundation of our eye care in West Sahara is a yearly eye exam, recommended for all of our valued patients. Dr. Roter will be able to determine your current vision requirements and meet them ideally with the appropriate prescription lenses, as well as screen you for common eye diseases so that any concerns can be addressed before they reach an advanced stage. You may have been getting eye exams your entire life, but thanks to continued advancements in technology, our optical store is pleased to offer diagnostics that are even more accurate and precise, such as the Reichert digital vision chart. We are committed to your optimal vision and eye wellness and make it our goal to have what is necessary to maximize both.
The two components of our eye exam are equally important. It’s easy to become accustomed to seeing only adequately or even poorly because you just get used to it. Our eye care in West Sahara, however, believes you should never settle for less than the absolute best eyesight that you can have. If you have never worn corrective lenses before, you may be able to benefit from them now to obtain greater clarity and sharpness. And if you already wear eyeglasses or contact lenses, an update to your existing prescription may be in order. The Reichert digital vision chart is just one of the great tools we have here to measure your visual acuity ideally. The second part of the exam is about testing you for eye diseases like glaucoma and cataracts, which can affect anyone at any age. Furthermore, those and other ones that may be applicable to you such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, present no clear symptoms in their early stages. It is vital to diagnose them before they have a chance to lead to loss of vision or eye damage.
Be good to your eyes and they’ll be good to you. Call our office and schedule an appointment for an eye exam to take advantage of our eye care in West Sahara.

Our optometrist will need to monitor your eyes on a periodic basis to make sure that the glaucoma is not progressing. However, these small steps will be very instrumental in helping you to prevent vision loss. One of our most popular procedures is Spring Valley eye testing and eye exams. Some diseases develop slowly without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can reduce the risk of further harm and allow for a choice of treatment options. Our eye doctors believe that you should be well informed and educated about your eye care. Therefore, during your eye examination, we’ll explain the purpose of the equipment we use so you can become more comfortable as well as knowledgeable about your eye care and health. When we examine your eyes, our eye doctors use the most modern examination equipment available to ensure an accurate and efficient examination and diagnosis. For example, we use the Reichert digital vision chart, which is one of the most advanced instruments used by eye doctors to ensure an accurate eye exam. The entire exam process can take an hour depending on the complexity of the problem. In addition to the Reichert digital vision chart, each patient will be evaluated with a refraction slit lamp, intraocular pressure, and a retinal exam. Personalized to you, no two eye examinations or eyewear prescriptions are the same.

Early detection of many of these conditions will help prevent future vision loss. Your eyes will be dilated with medical eye drops so that the inside of the eye can be viewed. Any retinal problems will be detected and diagnosed. The surface of the cornea will also be examined for any types of problems or irritations. If you want to get a contact lens prescription, additional tests will be added to make sure that you can comfortably and safely wear contacts. You may be tested for dry eye syndrome. Measurements of the cornea and iris will also be taken to ensure that the contacts will fit your eyes properly. Contact lens prescriptions contain information about how the contacts should be shaped along with vision correction information.
