Here at the office of Dr. Glen Roter, some of the most basic yet important services provided by our Spring Valley Aetna optometrist are eyeglass prescriptions. If you wear eyeglasses, or think you might need eyeglasses, you should schedule an appointment with our Spring Valley Aetna optometrist so that Dr. Roter can determine your eyeglass prescription during a comprehensive eye exam at our office. During your comprehensive eye exam, our Spring Valley Aetna optometrist will use a refraction test in order to determine exactly what your eyeglass prescription should be.
For the refraction test, you sit down in a chair that has a special device attached to it. Dr. Roter will then place the device in front of your eye and instruct you to look through it at an eye chart across the room about twenty feet away. The special refraction device holds lenses with varying powers so that Dr. Roter can assess your vision through various lenses in order to determine the one that works best for your visual needs. Dr. Roter will ask you which lens is clearer or more comfortable for your eyes to assist in his determination. Your comprehensive eye exam will also consist of other tests that evaluate your vision quality and your eye health so that our Spring Valley Aetna optometrist can uncover any underlying issues that may be developing, as well as provide you with the eyeglass prescription you need. We can then point you toward some high quality affordable frames that we have in our selection right here at the office.
